From Remedios, Cuba, to my new home: Bulgaria

My journey began in Cuba, a place rich in culture and color. From the vibrant streets of Havana to the quiet corners of my hometown, I always had an interest in capturing the world around me—though it wasn’t until much later that I found the tool to do so.

Life took me far from home, all the way to Bulgaria, where I settled and started a new chapter in my life. It was here, in this beautiful country, that I touched a camera for the first time. That moment was transformative. What began as a curiosity soon became a passion, and with each shot, I discovered a new way to express myself.

By profession, I am a software engineer, weaving logic and creativity into lines of code. But when the workday ends, I find myself most fulfilled with a camera in my hands. Photography allows me to balance the precision of engineering with the freedom of artistic expression. It's in those moments—when the light is just right or a scene unfolds unexpectedly—that I feel truly realized.

I draw inspiration from the world around me, particularly in landscapes and street art. The vastness of nature and the creativity found in urban spaces both speak to me in different ways. Whether it’s the serenity of a sunset over a distant horizon or the bold statements of a mural hidden in a city alley, these moments fuel my passion.

Through my lenses, I seek to capture in a frame not just what I see, but what I feel. May these images invite others to share in the journey and feel the moments that unfold along the way.
