Portrait of the Penitent Soldier

But You, O Lord, You set me face to face with my sin, that hideous monster, that I may behold how foul I am, how crooked and sordid, bespotted and ulcerous. And I behold, and loathe myself. Is not Your hand able, O Almighty God, to heal all the diseases of my soul? How long, how long? Tomorrow, and tomorrow? Why not now? Why is there not this hour an end to my uncleanness?1

Printing Observations

All works are mastered in 16-bit color depth. Standard web formats are unable to retain the full depth of this data; consequently, the physical print will differ from the digital preview. While the online image is optimized for fast loading, the printing process utilizes the original 16-bit edit, allowing for deeper saturations and subtle chromatic shifts to emerge that are lost during compression for web displaying.
For this image in particular, expect more vibrant, saturated colors on the print.
